Wii have a winner

Nintendo's E3 conference just blew everyone away. After Sony's blatent rip-off fest, Nintendo gave us the following:

*Shigeru Miyamoto directing a virtual orchestra
*A price and date. The Wii will cost 245 dollars (you can buy a Wii and an Xbox 360, and the combined price of those still does not reach that of the PS3 premium), and it will be released before November 23 this year (This means Japan. The entire launch will have at the very most 14 weeks difference between the first and last region).
*Twilight Princess will be launched on the same day as the Wii, in two versions: one for the GameCube, and one for the Wii, using the Wiimote. It looks awesome.
*The Wiimote has a speaker in it
*The Wii will always be connected to the Internet, even when you turn it off. While in slumber mode, it will consume about the same amount of electricity a small lightbulb would. This allows developers to update their games while you sleep, adding new content or fixing bugs. A messager system might also be a possibility
*Metroid Prime 3: Corruption kicks our collective asses
*ExciteTruck. This is too good to be explained in words. Let's just say... back when you played ExciteBike and jerked your controller with every jump? That will actually do something now. Steering using the Wiimote is awesome.
*Red Steel might force me into a corner and make me blurt out that it might... MIGHT just be better than Half-Life 2. Shooting looks cool, but using the katana looks even cooler.
*DS games...... aand... O_O YOSHI's ISLAND 2 O____O. *Squeeee*. Sorry.. that's just me...
*An exclusive Sonic game
*Super Mario Galaxy. I don't need to say anything about this
*There will be a sports game, bundling games like golf, and the tennis game we saw Reggie, Shigsy and Saturo play with that lucky bastard who won the AOL contest.
*Wario Ware game. YAY!
*The 'Classic' controller is unveiled. The Wiimote sticks into this, allowing you to play games for the Virtual Console. All required buttons for the NES, SNES, N64, GameCube and Sega's consoles (plus the TurboGrafxO are there. It looks lika this:

*Much, much more. Read Joystiq's coverage of it.

KN for TBS, out.

Welcome to The Blue Shell!

I decided to get rid of that crappy name Nintendo Report, for the more unique name The Blue Shell. I also hope people like the new skin I created for the site, which was actually a template from Blogger, which I altered heavily so I hope people like that. Also finally I'm considering in buying a domain name, though I'm not too sure if I should, any ideas?

As you can see from below Nintendo clearly has the largest booth in E3, with Sony with the second largest and Microsoft nowhere to be seen.
